At different times I had different ideas about what I could write about this playlist. I made several attempts. Each attempt did too many things with too much material.
I am open to the idea that one day I will write something I can stamp ‘the essay for my favorites playlist’ with satisfaction. Until then, here is my playlist. It is long, it is old, and it is in parts canonical, and in others obscure. I hope you enjoy it.
